I’ve been going to the movies long before I started reviewing them, and I have the ticket stubs to prove it. When it is necessary, I can also have a critical eye, and it is necessary for reviewing films.
I guess you can say that I love looking for great movies. A movie that pulls you in and does not allow you time to step back and say that it is just a movie, is a great movie. A story that may not necessarily be realistic but touches your heart, is a great movie. A film that keeps you in your seat even if you had a little too much soda and nature is calling you, may be quite possibly, a great film.
Thought provoking, funny, exciting, sweet, spooky, makes-me-wanna-cry-I’m-so-happy. This is the stuff of great films.
That’s what we are trying to do. We watch movies and then tell people if is is indeed one of those rare, great films.
